Quick Summary
The Level 1 sailing participant course is an opportunity for Scouts and Venturers to learn basic sailing skills to operate a sailing dinghy in light winds.
Participants that successfully complete the sailing course are awarded a Sailing Participant Certificate allowing them to participate in Sailing Events within Scouting.

Gear to Bring

eg Hike Tent, Hike Stove,
Hiking Boots, Wetsuit
Sunscreen, Water Bottle, Hat (wide brimmed cricket hat with chin strap or similar)
Lightweight long sleeve tops are best for sun protection.  Rash vests are ideal.
Must have Wetsuit Booties or old runners.
Safety Notes
Mon & Tues are forecast over 30 degrees.  Sunscreen, Hat and Water Bottle are essential.
Participants must follow instructions at all times.
